Hornets
Hornets, large stinging insects belonging to the genus Vespa, are known for their aggressive behavior and potent sting. They typically build large paper nests, often in trees or shrubs, containing multiple combs where they raise their young. Hornets are social insects, living in colonies with a hierarchical structure led by a queen. While they primarily feed on other insects, they are also attracted to sugary substances, making them occasional pests around human habitation. Their venomous sting can cause severe pain and, in some cases, allergic reactions that may require medical attention. Despite their fearsome reputation, hornets play a vital role in ecosystems by controlling insect populations and serving as prey for various predators.
